Financial Options
We want to help you receive the dental care you deserve. We discuss all cost and payment options with you to make sure you are comfortable with your treatment plan and to answer any questions you have prior to the start treatment. You will never have surprises when it comes to your bill.
In-house insurance plan:
For patients without dental insurance, we offer a special introductory price of $50 for a comprehensive exam, x-rays, and cleaning. The patient will automatically be enrolled into the Sunset Insurance Plan, which offers large discounts on any dental treatments that may be needed. These fees are often very close to Medicaid fees, which are very low. The patient will then be eligible to for the $50 price for all future exams/cleanings.
Patients in pain and seeking a diagnosis will only be charged $75 for the emergency exam. Included in this price is a full comprehensive exam, x-rays, and cleaning, which can be redeemed within 60 days of the emergency exam.
Dental Insurance
We want you to get the most out of your budget, so we work with your insurance provider to ensure you get the best coverage available to you.
We are a Preferred Provider (PPO) for many dental insurance companies. If you need assistance, or have questions about your insurance policies or claims, our staff is knowledgeable and always available to help you.

Making an Appointment
It is easy to make an appointment for your initial examination and dental treatments with Sunset Dental. Simply call 505-295-4050 and one of our friendly team members will be happy to assist you. If you schedule an appointment and something comes up, please call and cancel 24 hours in advance so that we can accommodate other patient requests.
What to Expect
Walk into our lobby where you will be greeted by our friendly team. We will provide you with new patient paperwork that includes a health questionnaire, request for your insurance information and contact information. We will also provide you with information to familiarize you with our office and how we handle things like patient privacy.
Initial Examination
Your initial dental exam will take around one hour. The experienced team at Sunset Dental will ask you questions, get to know your oral hygiene routine, and listen to your health concerns. We believe in educating patients and empowering them to make good choices to improve their oral health. We will demonstrate how to properly care for your teeth and make additional suggestions as needed. Our dental hygienist will clean your teeth then Dr. Ngo will complete your examination and make recommendations for proposed dental treatments.
Pain Concerns
We work to ensure our patients feel comfortable, and that includes minimizing their pain as much as possible. If you are undergoing a dental procedure, Dr. Ngo will meet with you to discuss your pain tolerance and create a plan for pain management. Working together, we will treat your dental health problems in a way that minimizes pain and enables you to get back to your life faster.
